1992 gründete unsere Geschäftsleitung TOWNSHEND INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (www.townshend.cz) als die erste private Initiative dieser Art im früheren Ostblock.

Sie trägt den Namen des irischen Humanisten und Dichters George Townshend. Bisher sind Jugendliche aus mehr als 90 Ländern hier zur Schule gegangen. Viele von ihnen erhielten  Stipendien an namhaften Universitäten der Welt.  Seit den ersten Jahresabgängen konnten die Absolventen im Studium und Beruf überdurchschnittliche Leistungen erbringen.  

Wir wollen demnächst die Zahl der Studienplätze von 150 auf 300 erhöhen. Die Zahl der Teilnehmer an den Ferienkursen wird dann von 500 auf 1.000 pro Jahr steigen. Die Ziele der Townshend Schule ergänzen und fügen sich in das Leitbild von ACCESS-GROUP.

‘The vision of Townshend is the creation of a moral and ethical environment in which, through guided interaction, students can learn to respect and appreciate people of different cultures and backgrounds and to show that respect in communication and consultation. Through challenge and discipline they can learn to take responsibility for their own lives and be of service to their environment. They should leave this school with a positive attitude towards life and have acquired the ability to process what they have learned with creativity and entrepreneurship.’
